Personal Injury Solicitor

Job Description

Personal Injury Solicitor – Leeds

I'm currently working with a well-established legal services organisation that is looking to appoint an experienced and senior level Personal Injury Fee Earner into its Intermediate Track Team. This is a dual-capacity role, combining hands-on case management with a technical leadership and mentoring remit and would suit a Solicitor or CILEX-qualified Lawyer who enjoys complex litigation work and supporting the development of others.

The Role

This position offers a balance of fee-earning responsibility alongside a more strategic, technical contribution to the wider team. You will be trusted to manage your own caseload while acting as a go-to technical resource across the post-litigation process.

Key aspects of the role include:

    \n
  • Managing a portfolio of Intermediate Track litigated cases, ensuring matters progress efficiently and in line with client and business objectives
  • Providing technical guidance, supervision and mentoring to colleagues across the team
  • Drafting high-quality legal documentation, including pleadings, interlocutory applications and supporting statements
  • Advising on complex litigation issues, procedural strategy and risk
  • Supporting team development through knowledge sharing and training delivery
  • Ensuring compliance with professional standards, regulatory obligations and internal frameworks
  • Working collaboratively with management to improve processes and enhance client outcomes
\n

Experience & Skills:

    \n
  • Qualified Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer
  • Strong experience managing a personal caseload
  • Excellent drafting skills across pleadings, applications and supporting documents
  • Comfortable working to performance targets and KPIs
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Confident communicator with the ability to provide clear, practical advice
  • Commercially aware with strong problem-solving capability
  • A collaborative approach and genuine interest in team success
  • An interest in emerging technologies such as AI would be advantageous (but not essential)
\n

Culture & Benefits

The organisation places a strong emphasis on diversity, inclusion and wellbeing and offers a supportive, collaborative working environment where people are encouraged to perform at their best.

Benefits include:

    \n
  • 25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Hybrid working
  • Holiday buy and sell scheme
  • Volunteering days and matched charity giving
  • Health cash plan and wellbeing support
  • Life assurance and pension scheme
  • Ongoing training and development
  • Funded social events
  • Dress-for-your-day policy
